Lowther Driving Trials 4^th 5^th and 6^th August Lowther, Penrith

If you are going to Lowther on Friday 4^th of August we invite you to come and view our Mary Ann Rogers Art Exhibition with a drinks and nibbles reception between 5.30pm and 6.30pm at the Countryside Alliance Stand that over looks the main ring.

Or pop in and view the exhibition over the weekend, where Mary Ann will be actually painting on the stand as an attraction, the exhibition will be of hounds, Mary Ann hunts with the Border and has been the focus of TV documentaries while building her new studio at Woodburn.

Belsay Castle Ball

What a great night in front of the 14^th Century Castle at Belsay on the 8^th of July, nearly 500 attended making over £15,000 the indoor terrier racing was the star making near £1,800 and huge fun, the reverse bingo £1,500 and the Auction £9,000 thanks to Laura de Wesselow, and thank you to the Trustees of Belsay Estate for their help and permission.

Sunday 19^th November 06

We start rehearsals on Sunday 17^th of September at Ponteland, this year a bit of rock and roll with Big Dave’s Band and Richard Kane’s Band, the Chorus will be with Jim Laidlow and Gordon on the piano, with compilations of Grease, Rocky Horror, Mama Mia and We Will Rock You, there are one or two Solo’s, Groups or Duets to fill and Chris Armstrong from Hexham Mart will not be Meat Loaf but as the King of Rock and Roll.

We are now taking names for the chorus and after the fun of last year have got a lot of interest already! Also there is hope that the Pony Club are doing a big number as well!

Tickets will be on sale soon from £10 to £15.
